About

My name is Judith Mathewson, PhD, Licensed Professional Counselor (in Arkansas and Alaska) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Mental Health Counselor (in Florida). I have taken a non-traditional career path from special needs educator, career counselor, elementary and high school teacher, US Air Force Veteran, Hospice volunteer for Veterans and their families. I have worked with couples, teens, children, and women with self-esteem, grief and loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, and career challenges. I believe we can make progress with strengths-based coaching. My counseling orientation includes Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I am a lifelong learner and mentor and support those who have the courage to become vulnerable in counseling - growing emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically in order to become your best, authentic self. I look forward to guiding you on your life's journey. Together we can work on skills to take you from surviving to thriving!
