About

I have been in the clinical and healing profession for over twenty years, working with adults, children, teenagers, and families who have experienced significant trauma. I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Art and Dance and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both the state of Florida and Virginia. I am also a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional and a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional. My passions include self-care, preventing burnout, and living one’s best life through mindfulness and positive psychology, which inspired me to to pursue my Doctorate Degree of Psychology.

My clinical approaches are holistic in nature and include mindfulness, positive psychology, attachment and trauma based therapies, CBT, and DBT. I work through the lens of a body-mind-spirit connection and how are bodies hold trauma. I am a strong proponent of living mindfully and savoring each moment. I believe that this can give us not only the ability to heal from past/present trauma, but also allow us the opportunity to enrich our lives so we may thrive and flourish.
