About

Welcome and congratulations on taking the next step toward wellness. I understand that to some degree you must be hurting since you are reaching out for help. I want you to know that even though you may not believe it, I know you have all the tools you need to find joy and purpose in life. We need to work together to provide you with the therapeutic relationship you need to find those tools and practice using them effectively.
I have two counseling Master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2012) and School Counseling (2014) from Eastern Kentucky University. In 2018 I graduated with my PhD in counselor education and play therapy from the University of North Texas. I have been working in mental health counseling since 2011. My specialization is in working with children, adolescents, parents, and families.
I am a caring, humanistic, person-centered therapist. I have been a practicing counselor for eight years, and in that time I have come to learn that people need a secure and safe relationship with their therapist in order to grow and change. My three counseling degrees have taught me how to approach counseling with genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard for you. If you feel completely safe with me, then you might feel comfortable trying new ways of living for yourself and new ways of relating to others. I can be as patient as you need. I'm ready when you are.
