About
I am a doctoral level Clinical Psychologist licensed to practice in Texas. I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, hospitals, and community centers. I have specialized training and experience working with individuals who have complex medical issues, disabilities, physical trauma, and/or brain injuries. Further, I have worked with individuals dealing primarily with psychological issues including depression, anxiety, panic, emotional trauma, life stressors, marital and/or relationship discord, job satisfaction, financial stress, addiction, early childhood experiences, etc. I enjoy working with adults of all ages and honor diversity in my practice.
Research has shown the single most important factor in psychotherapy is the therapeutic alliance. My top priority is to ensure we create a safe space where you will feel comfortable to discuss the personal issues most bothersome to you. I primarily operate from a person-centered, insight oriented approach. I believe awareness of and insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is key to change and grow as an individual. I also utilize elements of cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and existential therapy, alongside motivational interviewing to tailor an approach aimed at working towards your unique goals and specific needs.
Beginning anything new can be challenging, especially when dealing with complex emotions and life situations. You’ve taken the first step towards seeking help and I hope we can work together to achieve your goals.
