Dr. Josh Briley is a licensed clinical psychologist. He started his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where he specialized in anger management, substance abuse treatment, smoking cessation, suicide risk assessment and treatment, and crisis intervention. He then transferred to the Veterans Health Administration, where his focus was on trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, and family/caregiver interventions. While at the VA, Dr. Briley also owned a private practice in which he helped community members with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, addiction, faith and spirituality crises and transitions, and family struggles. In addition, Dr. Briley has worked with LGBTQ+ clients as well as clients with alternative sexual lifestyles. He takes a very non-judgmental, personalized approach to therapy, focusing more on what the patient is experiencing and needs rather than on a diagnosis. Dr. Briley believes everyone needs help from time to time and can benefit from therapy. Dr. Briley believes that people can change their lives by transforming their minds.
