About
Hello.
My name is Dr. Jason Schwenker. My pronouns are he/him/his. I have a Doctorate of Psychology from Spalding University. I am licensed in Kentucky and Montana and have been providing therapy, counseling, and psychological assessments to adults for six years. Much of my experience has been with college students, veterans, LGBTQ folks, and adults. I have worked in university counseling, veterans affairs, community mental health, and private practice settings. I enjoy working with people who are experiencing transitions in their life or who are seeking to explore their identity.
I specialize in anxiety and stress management, self-perception, and coping with life changes. I like to get to know the people I work with and collaborate on their present and future needs. I practice primarily from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy model, emphasizing raising awareness in the present moment, identifying values and barriers, and pursuing meaningful changes. I also utilize cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and integrative therapy practices in my work.
I look forward to getting to know you.
