Dr. Janet Reading is a Marriage and Family Therapist based out of Hickory, North Carolina. Although she has practiced with couples and famlies, currently her primary focus is with individuals who are transitioning from being in a significant relationship to being single again, either due to separation, divorce or death. Treatment focuses on re-establishing hope, self-identity, self-awareness and self-esteem. What is your approach to therapy? Goals will be established by the client in order to lead a more purposeful, gratifying and meaningful life as well as enjoy the relationships in which they are currently involve. I assist clients in managing difficulties within their relationships. Together, we will discuss your emotions and experiences as well as develop strategies to effectively cope with and resolve difficult situations and build healthy relationships. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? It is my intention that clients will feel empowered, self-aware and hopeful after our sessions.
