Hello! I am Dr. Nodine and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California. I earned a Doctoral degree (Doctor of Psychology) in clinical psychology as well as a Master of Science degree in mental health counseling.

I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I use a warm and compassionate style along with a genuine desire to help people. I truly enjoy seeing people improve their lives! I have worked with hundreds of patients on issues such as depression, anxiety, phase of life concerns, relationship issues, LGBTQ issues and family problems, to just name a few.

I use a varied therapy style, incorporating solution-focused and cognitive/behavioral into work with clients (among others). My personal approach is also from a non-religious and non-spiritual perspective, but I am happy to incorporate your religious beliefs into sessions.

I have a variety of professional experience which has helped to shape my therapy style. As a clinical psychologist, I have extensive training and have worked with patients with a wide range of problems and symptom severity, including some of the most severely mentally ill patients in hospital settings to high functioning college students with minimal problems, simply working on improving themselves. I've worked on two college campuses as a professor and psychologist, as well as inpatient and outpatient treatment settings.

For therapy to be successful, it is important to have a strong therapeutic connection with your therapist. I am often described as relaxed, easygoing and non-judgmental. I try to create a comfortable place for discussion and communication. I highly recommend video sessions occur routinely, as seeing one another helps communication significantly. I prefer messaging and chat to only be used for brief communications between video sessions.
