About

I am a mental health and addictions counselor with nearly 30 years of experience, licensed in North Carolina, working as a therapist and educator. I have worked with clients with a broad range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, chemical dependency and other addictions. I have worked is settings as varied as university counseling centers to corrections, from community non-profits to executives and professional athletes.

My therapy style is conversational and educational. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and helping you understand the "what's, why's and how's" of the challenges we will face together. My approach usually combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy but together we will determine what works best for you.
