Gillian Tibbetts is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist working with adults, couples, and families. She has expertise in helping individuals who are experiencing life transitions, LGBTQ issues, relationship and parenting challenges, have experienced trauma or loss, and who are experiencing general dissatisfaction with one or more aspects of their current lives. Dr. Tibbetts uses a relational approach to cultivate a supportive, non-judgmental relationship that is built on trust and acceptance. She approaches therapy through an attachment lens, which helps clients gain personal understanding through exploring the ways that past experiences influence their current lives. Dr. Tibbetts encourages and supports her clients in identifying and utilizing their strengths while acknowledging how the overlapping aspects of their lives—from their histories to their current relationships and family dynamics—influence the ways that they approach self-reflection, school, work, and relaxation. Dr. Tibbetts earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adler University and her M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Trent University. She has presented at several international professional conferences and her research has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals. *Dr. Tibbetts conducts sessions via telehealth only.
