One of my passions is to help identify issues in children when they first present so as to direct and educate the family as early as possible to getting the appropriate evaluations and/or interventions. I know that the sooner treatment and services begin, the more likely the outcomes will be positive. Through providing an initial parent consultation, I can best assess how to either provide comprehensive developmental, behavioral, adaptive, and/or cognitive assessments on children birth through twelve, or address goals through recommended interventions. It is my goal to better understand a child on all levels. In this effort, the right diagnosis can be imperative. A particular specialty of mine is the assessment for, and diagnose of, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I am specifically trained in the ADOS-2, a gold standard instrument used as part of the evaluation for ASD. Sharing and explaining results and available resources with parents in a warm, kind, and clear manner is an integral part of my practice, and has been for the past 20 years.
