About
I am a psychologist licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin with 30 years of experience. I help people work through many different issues including eating disorders, stress, anxiety, depression, parenting concerns, and relationship issues. My doctorate is from Vanderbilt University, with my internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University. My work as a psychologist has been in practice settings, on college campuses, in hospitals, and in virtual practice, with a broad range of ages (2-95! ).
My goal is for each individual to acquire improved insight and understanding of their own life story, and to learn new skills or change older skills in order to lead to a better sense of self and healthier functioning. I believe each person has inherent value and that together, we will find a path through day-to-day challenges. My style is warm and supportive, focused on helping you learn about your strengths and challenges. My combination of cognitive-behavioral, family systems perspectives, and neuropsychological training allow me to offer this work in a calm, comforting atmosphere.
Whether your concerns stem from interpersonal difficulty, coping with medical issues or other stressors, or a sense that you could be happier and more at peace with your world, we can work together to help achieve your goals. The first step is in your hands. I look forward to helping you on your path.
