About

For the past 20 years it has been my pleasure to serve the Broward community. While taking a commonsense approach to life’s problems, I base my care on scientifically validated treatment models. Two models that people find particularly helpful are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). From these foundational models, we will work together collaboratively as a team to address your personal obstacles in life to solve the problems you face. Some specifics of treatment include mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation. When you are feeling lost, overwhelmed or “simply stuck,” I can equip you with the tools that you need to regain balance and control in your life. Some may find it helpful to know that I come from a family of service providers: nurses, doctors, and educators. My family SET high standards to serve every person in a holistic way. I am humbled by the genuineness of my patients that allow me to be a part of the healing process in their life journey. I am incredibly grateful to my own fine medical team that banded together to help me fight a rare form of breast cancer. I am happy to share with you that I have been cancer free for five years. GO PINK! Professionally I graduated with the highest honors from Nova Southeastern University. I have sat on the board of the Broward County psychological association (BCPA). This organization honored me with the Outstanding Achievement Award. As a coauthor, I have been published in research articles and had the opportunity to be a presenter at the Advancement for behavior therapy. A special moment for me was when Forbes of Forbes Magazine, awarded me the NJ press association award for the best college news writer. Other professional memberships include the following: the American psychological association (APA), the national health registry, honors in education (Kappa Delta Pi), honors in psychology (Psy Chi).
