Hi! Thank you for taking time to read my profile. I am Dr. Delores Turner, LMHC, MSW, PhD in Psychology.
The human mind is complex. When human beings experience severe life stressors such as the 2020 pandemic, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My great passion is to empower and bring a sense of wholeness to people who have been through traumatic experiences, childhood trauma, attachment, depression, anger issues, addictions, emotionality and self-esteem. Having a pastoral background, I provide Grief and Bereavement counseling.
I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so I have been trained in a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Somatic treatments of trauma, marriage and family.
For over twenty-five years, I have helped clients to attain healthy perceptions of themselves, empowering and strengthening their relationships as they re-imagine themselves as complete, whole and worthy human beings.
My credentials include: PhD in Psychology (LaSalle University); MSW and Mental Health (University of Southern California); MS in Counseling (California State University); Master of Divinity (Fuller Theological Seminary); Board Certified PTSD Clinician (American Psychological Association).
