About

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 15 years of experience working as a counselor, play therapist, and counselor educator. I enjoy working one on one with clients who have a variety of typical problems throughout life including returning student issues, stress and anxiety, depression, transitional periods in life, parenting and family issues.
My counseling style is warm, interactive, creative, and humanistic. I use client-centered values such as empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness to support clients. In addition, sometimes a more direct approach is needed to help them and I find Adlerian, solution-focused brief therapy, and cognitive-behavioral approaches beneficial to guide the clients to making progress in their lives. I am a Registered Play Therapist and do enjoy incorporating playful and creative modalities in my counseling approach when possible. I am wiling to work with you where you are at and tailor my approach when necessary and appropriate to help you meet your goals.
