About
My name is David Kyle Bond, and I am a Licensed Psychologist--it's nice to meet you. I have been honored to help men and women find stability and peace in their life for over ten years, and approach each new person with respect, empathy, kindness, and humor. My practice is focused on issues related to anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, confidence and self-worth. My approach balances exploration of the impact of early life experiences with nourishment of the desire to grow and change in the present. My approach I am trained in several therapeutic approaches and use each when they're likely to be most helpful in each session, and with each client. While I consistently draw on attachment theory and psychodynamic principles (e.g., looking at early life experiences and their impact at present), the other most frequent approaches used in my practice are ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy), and CFT (Compassion-Focused Therapy). Generally speaking, I think some of the greatest change comes through approaching issues from two angles: one that takes into consideration how our development has led us to where we are now, and one that takes into account our individual and unique wishes for change going forward. My focus I typically work with adult (both men and women), as well as adolescents. For adults, I usually see folks struggling with confidence, mood, or anxiety issues; over time, my practice has evolved to focus on issues unique to adult men, like the transition to fatherhood, marriage, or retirement. I am most comfortable treating anxiety, depression, OCD, and issues related to self-worth. My communication style I like to follow my clients when it comes to communication and tone. While empathy, kindness, respect and curiosity are always in the room, I'm equally comfortable with calmer, slower sessions and those infused with humor and energy.
