About

***Please Note: Danielle Dance is a provider within Headway’s provider network. After booking your appointment you will receive an email from Headway with instructions to setup your Headway patient account. You will need to complete this setup in order to confirm your appointment.*** What should your client know about you? First, you should know that I am anything but formal. I have practiced psychology for almost 20 years, licensed for 10! Wow, that is weird to say. I specialize in trauma, ADHD, and diagnostic assessment. Having lived through and witnessed some pretty scary things myself, I literally have some idea of what it might be like for you. I also have some fabulous knowledge about the brain and body that can help you to better understand what is happening within yourself. What is your approach to therapy? My approach to treatment can best be described as person-centered and motivational. I prefer to assess what is and is not working in someone's life and bolster the things that are working while trying to find viable alternatives to areas that are working less well. Treatment focus on building a greater sense of self-reliance by collaboratively working to create a treatment plan and healthy life changes to assist in growing as an individual. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? My goal is to create an environment that is safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental. Even so, I will help you to see the role you may play in your problems. Clarity is hard sometimes. When we understand the problem, we can do something about it. My hope is that clients leave my sessions with a sense of hope and empowerment. We cannot always take away the bad feelings, but we can work together to understand what they mean in order to create a plan!
