Hello!

Welcome to the Find A Therapist Community. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina and have been practicing for over 19 years with children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience working with diverse populations of clients with a wide range of clinical needs. Together we can work through a broad range of concerns including excessive worry, depression, stress management, trauma, career development, behavioral concerns, child-parent interactions, grief and loss, relationship issues, life/work balance, and overall wellness.

I would describe my approach as goal oriented and client centered. I primarily utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Both modalities involve hands-on, practical approaches to problem-solving. CBT treatment usually involves changing thinking patterns and or behaviors which are behind difficult situations, this then can lead to changes in how we feel. These methods help people identify unhelpful ways of thinking and learn better ways of coping with life's full range of stressors.

Difficulties and pain are both part of the human experience. I understand seeking help can feel very vulnerable. Exploring the healing process or enriching one’s personal growth, first and foremost, requires establishing a trusting and emotionally supportive relationship. Change is not easy, but it is possible.
