Hello! Thank you so much for reading my profile.
My name is Chisato, which means "a 1000 homelands." Just like my name, I try to be a "homeland" to people, where they can feel safe.
I obtained my Bachelor's Degree from University of California, Berkeley. While I was going to school, I decided that I wanted to branch outside my school to see what ways I can give back to the community, while also learning new skills. I found a passion and a love in rape crisis counseling. I volunteered as a rape crisis counselor for years, where I worked with children and adults, sexually exploited minors, police officers and hospital staff. I also helped train other rape crisis advocates too. :)
Afterward, I obtained my master's degree from Pepperdine University and became licensed as a marriage and family therapist and a licensed professional clinical counselor. I also obtained my Doctorate in social work from University of Southern California in May 2021. I have a lot of experience with anyone ages 4 and up, as well as families and couples.
My passion is creating a safe place for you to explore your difficulties and to help you find new skills in dealing with them together.
