About

I am a PhD Graduate as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed School Counselor, and National Certified Counselor. After completion of my Master’s degree, in both School and Mental Health Counseling, I further pursued my Doctorate degree in Family Studies. My dissertation and research focused primarily on families and children of divorce. Through this research, I learned the importance of communication and the positive influence it can have on all relationships. This experience led me to the path of individual as well as family counseling.

I have had experience in the school system as a Teacher for over ten years as well as a School Counselor. I have enjoyed being able to watch my students students grow and ultimately become their best self. My professional experience also includes running groups and helping them through the social and emotional difficulties they may face. I further took this knowledge and experience to work outside of the school system in a private practice setting to assist a variety of populations.

I practice with a person centered approach and believe in building rapport with my clients to foster a trusting relationship. I aim to help clients appreciate their individual strengths. I believe in helping clients cope with any difficulties they encounter and learn skills they can carry with them throughout their lives.
