As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist treating a wide range of difficulties in diverse populations, Dr. Brittany Howell welcomes the opportunity to assist in finding more effective ways of moving through life. She has experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups, providing evidence-based assessment and treatment of a myriad of challenges, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep disorders, grief, eating disorders, and interpersonal difficulties, and utilizes various complementary approaches and techniques to offer an individualized plan for each of her patient's needs. She believes in a holistic, collaborative approach, in which the development of a meaningful patient/therapist relationship is essential in promoting change. Dr. Howell earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and has worked in a variety of settings, including VA medical centers, community mental health centers, and private practice. Additionally, she has extensive experience assessing and treating individuals via telehealth/virtual modalities. Dr. Howell seeks to create a safe and empathic, yet creative, environment, in which patients feel empowered to overcome barriers, gain new insights, and learn ways of managing emotion to move toward resiliency and competence.
