I have a PH.D in Social work and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Texas since 1983. I have extensive experience in several fields of social work including Child welfare, Family court services, Medical and Psychiatric hospitals, Dialysis clinics and provided required counseling to many clients both in my jobs, in my private practice as well as different agencies with contracts. I have extensively worked with Domestic violence victims as well as sexual abuse victims.
I am known most as Bhanu. In addition to English, I speak fluent Telugu and limited Hindi.
My Counseling style is friendly, compassionate and non-judgmental. I am a good listener. I am trained and Knowledgeable in several types of therapies but frequently used Eclectic approach or Cognitive Behavior therapy to help clients to meet their goals. I firmly believe that counseling relationship exist solely to meet clients needs and what client wants to accomplish. I redirect the clients worrying and ruminating to focus on problem solving. Professional boundaries will always be maintained.
