I've worked with many different types of people over the years and can say they have all brought something important to the table. My ideal client is someone who is willing to do the work, takes ownership when it is needed, and sees our work together as a collaboration. Being open to trying new ways of approaching things is essential. Give therapy a chance. It works if you do.

I consider the individual to be the expert on their lives. I have had training, some experience, and might know a couple of things, but don't approach therapy from a "one-up" position. I practice transparently, which means I'm honest, genuine, and do not present as detached. I care about what happens to you and will say so.

Acknowledging that you might need someone to help is hard. Taking the step to contact someone is even harder. I want to make that step a positive one and will do what I may to make the process as easy as possible. I encourage you to take a chance and reach out. If not to me, then to someone. You are worth it.
