About
With almost 15 years old experience, I bring a friendly, accepting, and empathic attitude to working together with you to help you understand, resolve, and grow past life's challenges. I have worked with adults and families in a variety of settings from community clinics, private practice, correctional settings, for-profit settings, and residential treatment centers and these experiences mean I've heard almost everything and I am unafraid or bothered by what people might say. I have vast experience treating clients with a wide range of concerns, specifically depression and anxiety, substance use disorders, family and parenting challenges, and ADHD. I have a specific experience working with the military.
My favorite therapy approach is mindfulness-based approaches because it is both restorative and preventative, but I often emphasize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and brief solution-focused problem solving therapy.
I love therapy but I realize for many people going to therapy can suck. I want to work with people who are ready to take steps towards changing their lives and if you're ready to make those changes I am ready to show you support.
I look forward to working with you!
