Hi there! I'm Dr. Angel, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I hope to connect with you and look forward to helping you on your journey to becoming your most authentic self. This provider resides in Hawaii. My approach My approach in therapy is eclectic, which is grounded in a Person-Centered approach along with other therapeutic modalities appropriate to your needs. My focus I worked with clients presenting with a broad range of issues, from anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief issues, self-growth, spirituality, and life stressors. As your therapist, my goal is to help you navigate through the pit stops and detours in your life journey so that you can begin to take care of yourself. My communication style I provide a warm, safe, caring, respectful, and non-judgmental space for you to share and process what is most important to you. My journey to mental healthcare I was told growing up that I was a good listener and people felt heard. Initially, I thought that was who I was, and it was a part of my personality. As I got older, I realized that helping others was something I enjoyed, and it came naturally for me. Seeing my clients get better is what drives me to keep doing what I do. My first session with you I believe that when we use our energy to focus on ourselves and work through the difficult parts of our lives, I believe that is when we gain clarity and begin to understand our experiences. We also learn to live rather than just exist. I believe that self-love and self-acceptance are the internal compass that guides us to move forward and begin to heal.
