I’ve been a psychologist in private practice for 30 years. I attended NYU and Ferkauf Graduate School and have worked in inpatient psychiatric hospital, high school and residential treatment settings My clients tend to be women and men in relationship transitions, crises or experiencing loss , who need quick intervention after a dislocating event. I specialize in helping my clients find some calm and come to an understanding of the crossroads.. Some of my clients feel unable to figure out what's really going on between their partners and themselves, experiencing breakups and some know they need to express something they've been burdened by. Others are having affairs, getting divorced or discovering a partner's infidelity . The anxiety and depression can feel too overwhelming to carry on ones own. The right intervention at the right time with a therapist who understands, can make a big difference and be a true relief.
My therapeutic approach is interpersonal, which means I'm very active in the session, warm and attentive and focused on the here and now. I give useful, thoughtful feedback and believe that the chemistry between client and therapist is key to good outcomes. I love and take pride in my work, which I think is apparent in my practice
