From our very first interactions, I collaborate with my clients to address their challenges so that they can bring greater joy, peace, and acceptance into their lives. So often, our difficulties stem from unhealthy, long-standing patterns that weave through development and influence how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. I help my clients to deepen their understanding of these difficulties and to utilize their inherent strengths - so that they can more effectively reach their goals. This work relies on creating a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, warm, accepting, and affirming.
Originally a researcher in developmental psychology, I went back to school to become a clinical psychologist so that I could work with people more directly. I enjoy working with people of all ages and have extensive training as a therapist. I integrate cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness techniques in order to most effectively address my clients' needs.
