I became a Certified Social Worker in 2000. I went on to become a License Clinical Social Worker in 2004. In 2017 I became a License Independent Clinical Social Worker. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Norfolk State University in 1995. I went on to gain her Masters in Social Work at Adelphi University in 2000.
I have worked in various settings; including a Nonprofit community-based counseling center, Private for-profit hospital setting, Hospital community-based mental health clinic, Private practice, Nursing homes and a Assisted living facility.
I am a client focused therapist. I don’t push an agenda, I assist clients in identifying their own goals and developing objectives to execute productive progress. I assist clients in becoming aware that they are not alone and change is possible. I help my clients become solution focused through normalizing, positive feedback, encouragement and a various therapeutic approaches.
