About
My name is Doreen and I welcome the opportunity to work with you and support you in attaining your goals. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor in Illinois. My professional background includes a Master's degree in counseling psychology and business administration. I also have over 10 years of experience in social services and mental health. My clinical focus is working with adults who have mood disorders, anxiety, or serious mental illnesses. I am very passionate about mental healthcare and entered into this profession because I value supporting others in their efforts to be the best and healthiest version of themselves. My approach to treatment is by working collaboratively with clients to help identify their strengths, to foster self-empowerment, and healthy well-being. This may include exploring the whole person within the context of one's social and cultural environments. I also work to foster a safe environment and therapeutic relationship where clients feel free from judgments, valued, and respected. Making the decision to seek therapy can be a big step toward your addressing your psychological well-being, healing process, personal growth, or other goals. I am here to meet you where you are and provide support as you move through your journey of self-exploration. I am excited about the opportunity to meet and work with you.
