My name is Dora Hudson, my pronouns are She/Her/I and I have over 13 years of school and community counseling experience in Michigan schools and community agencies working with teens. So happy to meet you… I am a licensed professional counselor and I have been counseling individuals, and families for many years. My education and training include a master’s degree from University of Detroit Mercy, Master’s Counseling Degree Program as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services. My experience has allowed me to acquire the counseling and coaching skills needed to work effectively with youth, adults and seniors including LGBTQ+ , depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career challenges, grief and loss, physical trauma or emotional abuse, as well as important life transitions.

My counseling style is eclectic, non-judging, and engaging. I treat everyone with dignity, equity, and compassion. My approaches are cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, humanistic, spiritual and solution-focused counseling in a positive and supportive atmosphere. I help my client’s feel supported and open to share, to assist them in becoming more aware and to help them address their life challenges, to help them find a solution to meet your unique and specific needs. I will explore the areas of mental health and spiritual wellness to help them to a healthier mindset.
