I am happy to be a practicing counselor with experience in individual, family, and teen therapeutic modalities. I currently reside in the state of Texas, which is where I am currently licensed as a professional counselor. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in mental health counseling.

It is common for counselors to take an individualized approach in counseling. I, too, believe in this same thought when it comes to my clients. I realize that we are all different in how we think and in what we believe. I respect and acknowledge the opinion of others. I am also patient enough to give my clients enough time and a safe space to process their thoughts and feelings.

Therapy is often uncomfortable and sometimes painful. Life is also challenging and stressful at times. There are so many things that happen to us and it is often beyond our control. However, we have a choice in how we respond and how we allow these things to affect us in life. I usually check messages here a few times per day Monday-Friday and respond as quickly as I can. Ialso check my messages at least once over the weekend. I do appreciate your patience when it takes a bit longer at times, as I may be tending to other clients or professional/personal responsibilities.
