About
You’ll find me genuinely interested in your life, and open to everything you’d like me to know, and I’ll listen without judgment. A good part of life is about getting things wrong, so varied are our experiences and the issues we confront, and how often we confront something we’ve never done before. I’ve had a ton of experiences and what I have learned from and about them is to ask the right questions. Those questions are; “What have I learned about this situation?“, “How did I contribute to what occurred?“, and finally, “What could I have done differently“, or alternatively “What can I do differently to create a different outcome?” Here is what I know for certain. This life is short. It is far too short to not try for and want the best experience we can have. Some of you are wondering if you’re in the right relationship. Always an important question. How can you make it better? Lots of good answers but there are also questions that we need to ask ourselves about the people we’re with. Many people harbor the belief (mostly mistaken) that everybody gets it except them. Almost universally, we go through life with wrongheaded ideas about our place in the world. Therapy can help to disabuse you of the notion. I’ve lived a few years, and I won’t waste your time. Let’s fix a life so you can get the most out of it. If you think from these few lines I can help. Let’s get started together. On a final note, I am compelled to share that part of my background is a thirty-five-year career with a major California law enforcement agency as a peace officer. The last four years were spent as the commander of a highly effective Homicide Bureau. I attribute to that career an appreciation of the complexity of the human condition. I hope you will permit me the honor of supporting you as you work to change your life.
