About

I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in Oregon with over 20 years of experience working as a professional helper of people. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My therapy style is inviting, supportive, and effective. I focus on using the counseling relationship to support the people I help to discover and confirm their true identity, potential, and vision so that the steps to creating an improved and ideal life are clear and achievable. I adjust my approach as needed to make sure that people I work with are benefitting from my services. I use a collaborative process with people to create meaningful goals and tasks for counseling.

Counseling is an effective intervention and I have helped many people restore joy and contentment to their life. I bring this conviction to my work as a counselor, and I want to be that source of hope for a better life for the people that I serve.

My approach to counseling is based on client self-discovery where the current ability to function is matched against the client's current degree of life satisfaction. A developmental change process is then used to help the client learn, grow, and develop into the person that they once or were or are meant to be.
