My ideal client would be someone who may not be aware of patterns of negative or self-sabotaging behavior. Ultimately this client would want to experience more satisfaction in their life, reduce any negative tendencies that might originate from fear or anxiety, and feel more confident and generally happier. Together we would identify past life experiences, beliefs, family of origin, and values. My process is one of openness and acceptance first. I specialize in trauma and have specific training in combat trauma though I have worked with individuals with many different types of trauma. I am trained in EMDR, I am certified in REBT, and have informal training with DBT. I believe that therapy is for everyone and anyone. You don't have to be suffering from something debilitating to want to feel better or strengthen boundaries or just learn how to relax. I strive to help clients overcome any shame or stigma in coming to therapy. My goal is to provide a supportive and accepting space for everyone.
