I am Dionne Wallace a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I have worked for the past 5 years rendering therapeutic services in the form of individual, group, couples, family and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) counseling. I worked as the lead therapist at a behavioral health agency where I was able to implement a holistic approach. Quite frankly I cared about whether or not the client had food so I created a food closet amongst a myriad of other things that assisted a client or family to function at its highest level. My approach as a therapist is strength based and empowering. I value cultural competence, possessing a non-judgmental stance to each individual regardless of their beliefs or lifestyle choices. A non-negotiable for me is creating a safe, warm space for each person to feel free to express themselves without guilt or shame; this could ultimately facilitate the healing process.
