I am a Psycho/Behavioral Therapist with over 20 years of experience in helping individuals and couples who are suffering from health and mental issues. I trained at both Johns Hopkins psychiatry department and McGill university center for cognition and medicine. In the last couple of years I focused mainly on helping those suffering from chronic pain, depression, anxiety cognitive disorders, eating disorders, weight management as well as those needing career counseling. I am a Cognitive Therapist and I believe that people have a choice, they can change their behavior, their thought process, learn to move forward and acquire hope.
I perform educat/psychological and career testing. My therapeutic process is behavioral/goal oriented and designed to help the client solve the current issue that is stopping him/her from achieving what they want, in just 12 sessions. I do also incorporate other interventions such as, Gestalt, Focused Based Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Biofeedback as needed.
I think the first thing in building a relationship is establishing trust. I want my clients to feel that when they come to see me they can say whatever is on their mind without any fear. I am open-minded, compassionate, and I helped many clients resolve their issues and achieve their goals.
