About

Hello! My name is Diane and I am a Licensed Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. I have been working in some aspect of counseling for over 25 years in my work with various community and faith-based programs and private and public school systems. If you are here seeking a change and/or coping skills for any area of your life that is not working well then I believe that you have taken one of the most important steps toward a healthier you by making the decision to take time to focus on your goals.

In addition to counseling, I have had the opportunity to travel and experience many different cultures and build relationships with people in every season of life. I am thankful for these opportunities to broaden my perspective and believe that they help me to better help people of all ages, cultures, and stages of life to navigate through the presenting challenges and issues that may be keeping someone from experiencing a fulfilling life. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns such as: anxiety, stress, fear, depression, relationship and family issues, coping with life changes, grief and loss, aging, trauma, career-decision making, addictions, and related issues.

My counseling approach is focused on the whole person (mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual) and directed to help each person work towards the personal goals presented. Since people have different expectations for counseling – we will identify your priorities in our first session through some questions and feedback and I will customize the goals of our time based on your goals. Listening, providing and getting feedback, questions, and a blend of Family Systems, Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution-Focused Therapy will be used in our time together. I am a Christian, so you may also choose for us to incorporate faith-based values into the counseling process.

I believe that life is an exciting journey and gift - though often filled with twists and turns and some unexpected detours, seasons, and/or roadblocks. Whether you've felt like you have been struggling for a long time or somehow ended up in a desert recently, I’m here to walk with you for however long it takes to help you find hope, confidence, and new skills to navigate the road ahead!
