Hi there, I'm Diann! Hi. My name is Diann Toney. I am a licensed mental health counselor ( LMHC ) and a nationally certified counselor ( NCC) in Florida with 8 years of professional work experience in the field of counseling. My approach I believe that therapy is a collaborative process between a client and a therapist. Effective therapy requires that both the client and therapist develop a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. My theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My focus I primarily work with teens and adults. My areas of expertise are trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. My communication style I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
