I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia with over 5 years experience assisting individuals in need. Today's modern world has revved up our need to feel as if someone is hearing our concerns and helping us to make sense of things occurring in our society. I have worked with clients who have a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting concerns, adjustment issues, anger management, OCD, and ADHD. I also help people who have experienced physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I do not believe in stigmatizing labels, though you have a mental health need it does not define who you are. I do expect my clients to be invested in attaining wellness. I utilize the following therapies: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person centered therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
