Diana Methfessel, LMFT is a licensed marriage and family therapist offering services to adults. She has a vast array of clinical interests; however, her specializations are family therapy comprised of adult children and their parents, therapy for graduate students in master level or Ph.D./PsyD university programs, therapy with adult children of alcoholic/addictive parents, therapy with family members struggling with an addictive family member, hospice and end of life issues, grief work related to pets, and hoarding. In her practice, Diana believes that most people want to be heard and accepted for whatever they are going through at that moment. Once someone feels understood, they can then embrace hope to consider walking through the dark places in their lives. Since she was young, Diana has been interested in mental health care and how people think and behave. Her sense of curiosity allows her to “lean in” and imagine what it is like to walk in the shoes of individuals she is working with. After 50 years in her home state of California, Diana decided to move across the country to Florida. She is dedicated to wellness practice, including yoga and mindfulness meditation, and is passionate about animals and preserving our beautiful world.
