About
Ya' at'eeh! I am a BIPOCC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Other Cultures and Cultures) Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. I have helped people of all colors, cultures, and tribes for over 30 years with a variety of issues, most recently regarding the effect COVID has had on our lives. While I will help anyone who asks for it, I am known for providing cultural driven, client centered therapy, utilizing bother western and traditional medicines to help you feel better.
As a client centered therapist you can expect me to listen, express empathy, offer support, be give you homework, and work with you on how present day issues are effecting your lives. My goal is always to help you feel better and the way I do that is by creating client driven treatment plans that use tools like art therapy, narrative therapy, music therapy, acceptance therapy, positive psychology and provide culturally specific tools in atmosphere of mutual respect.
My background includes working as a Licensed Addictions Counselor since 1995, helping others learn to live day by day. My education includes clinical training as a Psychiatric Social Worker as well as earning a Certificate of Specialization in Trauma Treatment from the University of Denver. That specialty has led me to working with people from other cultures and colors deal with Historical trauma and Intergeneration trauma, helping them heal from the negative effects of genocide and discrimination.
In other words, I can help.
