About

I work with those experiencing anxiety, depression, negative habits, adjustment to new environments and situations, grief, and issues of abuse and anger management.


I received my Bachelors in Education from Tarleton State University. After completion, I achieved a Texas Teaching Certification where I worked in the public school systems for more than seven years. After leaving the public school system, I worked in the mental health field, working with people with mental illness and learning disabilities. From there I went on to work in the foster care system in Texas. Those experiences led me to a need to do more for the people I had worked to help for so many years. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling/Psychology at Tarleton State University. With many years of experience, I bring a great deal of life experience to this work enabling me to connect with my clients on a variety of levels and in both an empathetic and meaningful way. I offer therapy for people with anger management needs, abuse survivors, children and teens along with their families, grief counseling, depression and anxiety, and stress management. I believe that I should meet individual clients at their level and therefore I enlist a variety of theories to help my clients. I understand the importance of connecting and I strive to bring that to the sessions with my clients. Positives are always present in any situation. There are times when it takes someone else to find them for us.
