About

My name is Debbie Smart and I hold a BS in Education, M. Ed in School Counseling and an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling. I have been inspired to grow personally and professionally in my own life journey and have felt blessed by the mentorship of many others along the way. I count my greatest blessings to be my husband, three adult children, 9 grandchildren, and extended family and friends. I have felt a calling to extend the blessings of others guidance to me to also help others grow in their own life journeys. Throughout my lifetime experience, I have worked in many areas of counseling and have expertise in trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and family issues. I believe that we all have some degree of brokenness and must work on the past and present pain in our own lives to fully grow into everything that we can be. I work to help individuals and couples learn how to communicate from the heart and listen to understand. I work to help individuals understand the source of their own pain and discomfort so they can take action steps to alleviate that discomfort as much as possible. I will walk this journey with each individual through needed modes of therapy to the wholeness desired.
