About

Hi there! I am a clinical social worker in Maryland and have been counselling for twenty years in different areas, I specialize in preparing birth parents and adult children who have been adopted and who are hoping for a reunion. I am also a hospice social worker who provides grief counselling to bereaved families. I have also worked in the mental health field with clients who are experiencing anxiety and depression.

I believe that people are their own experts on what they need to reach their goals. My role is to provide clients with encouragement and a safe space to reflect on the direction that they want to follow. My approach is eclectic using some cognitive frameworks, solution focussed therapy, bibliotherapy and narrative therapy. I also strongly rely on humour.
Each client is unique and does not conform to a rigid theoretical framework. I have also discovered that many clients coming to therapy have already done half of the work by themselves.

I am reasonably flexible with schedules and can accommodate to meet your needs. My hours are Saturdays and Sundays from eleven to three/ I look forward to meeting you !
