About
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in Colorado with over 16 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. Additionally, I hold a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC-National) certification, and a Doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision (Ed.D). Two passions direct my work: 1) provide effective services to my clients, and 2) train a new generation of effective counselors to help those who need it. Working as a NeuroCoach, I help individuals with brain-based coaching to reach their life goals. I work with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief & loss, Substance Use Disorders, life transition, and co-occurring disorders. I also work with individuals who have experienced trauma, emotional abuse, and PTSD.
My counseling style is warm and relational. I am respectful, compassionate, and nonjudgmental in my work. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical-behavioral (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), psychodynamic, client-centered, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapies. Your treatment plan will be developed to meet your unique and specific needs based on your goals.
Asking for help is a strength - not a weakness. It takes courage to seek help for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
