My name is Deborah Jackson and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years experience providing counseling for adolescents and adults. I know that one of the hardest things in the world is admitting that you need help, and it is a mark of bravery that you have sought out counseling to help you address whatever issues are keeping you from having the life that you want. I know many people have been brought up to think they are not the type of person who seeks therapy, or that they should keep certain things private; and yet one of the most healing and beneficial thing you can do is take the time to invest in your mental health. Together we can work to address the issues that are concerning you and create a plan for change.

I have worked with people experiencing depression, trauma, relationship issues, difficulties with intimacy, compassion fatigue and who are struggling with change. Some times people are unsatisfied with life but are not able to pinpoint exactly what is bothering them, or are struggling with committing to making the changes they know they need to make. My personal philosophy is that you are the expert in your own life. You know what is and is not working for you. My job is to partner with you to help you examine your thoughts, feelings and behaviors to find out what makes sense and what is no longer helping you to grow. Through a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Regulation, and Solution Focused Therapy we can help you master the skills you need to improve your quality of life.
