I am a Therapist and have been providing mental health services for 40 years in outpatient and in home settings. I see Individuals, Groups, Families and I address Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Grief, Post-traumatic stress, Relationship challenges. My therapeutic approach is definitely collaborative. Relationship building and trust come first. I meet my clients where they are, listening and offering problem solving strategies to move my client forward. I offer a non-judgmental helping environment. My training is diverse from which I will offer help that meets your needs for feeling safe, being heard and offers concrete strategies. I believe cognitive therapies and solution focused approaches offer the highest degree of symptom relief. I enjoy working with clients struggling with self-defeating behaviors, attention and organization challenges, anxiety and self-esteem challenges. What brings clients to counseling is the hope of ending the pain of indecision, repeated patterns of behavior that end in defeat, low self esteem as well as difficulties believing in a successful future. I bring experience in trauma, focus and inattention challenges, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, women of abuse, foster an adoptive family disruptions and parent education.
