I have been practicing therapy for 16 years and I have worked in the mental health field for 20 total years. I've worked with a wide variety of clients. I've got specialized experience with children of all ages and their families. I have extensive experience with adolescents in helping them cope with trauma, family conflict, substance abuse, depression, anxiety and other mental health struggles. I also have extensive experience working with small children and practicing play therapy. I have worked with young children in coping with past trauma, bonding with their families, dealing with losses and caregiving disruptions, learning to regulate their emotions and behaviors and learn skills to help them appropriately interact with others in order to build and maintain healthy relationships. I have extensive experience working with adults with severe mental illness in the office setting, hospital setting, jail settings and community settings. I have worked with couples and families in developing effective communication skills and healing attachment issues. I have experience working with adults with mental health struggles, life situation stresses, substance abuse issues, developmental and intellectual delays and people from all cultures, religions, races, income classes, and sexual orientations.
