About

Hi, my name is Daylen Gonzales and I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington. I've been in the social services field for nearly 20 years, working in various behavioral health settings and programs. I love working with individuals on skills and strength building, as well as diving deeper into more intricate and layered topics to help folks feel strong, safe, and supported within themselves. My approach I believe in a systemic, interactive, and solution-focused therapeutic approach. My goal as a therapist is to form an alliance with each individual, couple, and family to identify opportunities for growth, highlight and utilize existing strengths, and offer support in achieving their unique and personal goals. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach to each client, couple, and family, utilizing theories such as family systems, cognitive behavioral, social learning, and psychosocial development. My focus I have worked with children ages 7 and up, as well as their families, on skill building and building/enhancing supportive family structures. I really enjoy working with teens and young adults as they navigate new life changes and experiences, as well as working with adults on depression, anxiety, trauma and somatic processing, life adjustments, skill building, and exploring deeper meanings in their lives. I truly enjoy building therapeutic alliances with individuals of any age and working on what matters most to them. Designing a great treatment plan with someone is an exciting beginning and I'm happy to be a guide on the journey. My communication style I'm more conversational in my communication and often ask a more pointed question here and there when I'm able to circle back to bring a topic more into focus. I tend to be more relaxed and don't mind high energy or swearing in a session.
