I have always been amazed by the resilience of the human spirit and I earnestly believe people try to make the best choice based on the options available to them. In my personal and professional life I have to make choices all the time. Some of them are difficult, but all choices bring a learning curve. Each choice we make presents an opportunity to grow. Some times I have needed someone to listen, validate and help me assess with making the decision to take leap, grow and move forward. My life journey is what has inspired me to be a clinical social worker/therapist.

I have had the opportunity and good fortune to work with individuals and couples with a variety of issues which include, mood disorder, personality disorder, HIV, LGBT, life transitions, cultural acculturation/assimilation, and interpersonal relationship issues.
As a Latino man I was born and raised bilingual Spanish/English. Prior to becoming a clinical social worker/therapist I was in the academic world as a Spanish Grammar/Literature Professor and community liaison. I also had the fortune of growing up near the Brazilian/'Portuguese Communities and have learned to communicate in Portuguese.
